Lecturing at SOMA

The Social Media Academy provides experienced trainer and instructors a powerful infrastructure to lecture classes focused on Social Media.

What is a good fit?

The Social Media Academy has the highest requirements on instructors and the faculty to teach classes and provide guidance and support for our students. Instructors and their respective courses need to be reviewed and certified by the Social Media Academy Board.

Expectations:
We accept applications from consultants, industry experts and well established people in the social media scene.
- You need to have an excellent social graph, represented in the leading social media spaces such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter or other relevant locations.
- You need to have experience in general teaching techniques.
- You need to provide at least 3 references where you successfully consulted social media projects or lectured social media classes.
- You need to be able to build your own course material in close cooperation with the academy leadership.

Commitment:
We need your commitment to conduct the confirmed classes no matter what. You need to commit to provide reasonable support to your students outside the class to ensure the best possible learning result.

What Social Media Academy provides:

The social Media Academy provides the infrastructure such as class organization, online class management, online seminar technology, does the complete student payment processing and enablement and provides all back office services so that as a teacher you only need your class material and conduct the actual classes.

All other terms and conditions are provided in the instructor agreement. Please request those details via your application as outlined under “Application”

Social Media Academy Certification

All classes are either provided by certified instructors who participated in the Social Media Academy Leadership Class or at least by certified guest instructors and reviewed class material.

A Certified Instructor participated and graduated from the SOMA Leadership Class. Core classes are only provided by certified instructors.

Also a guest instructor has to participate in a certification process to ensure a consistent class experience and a shared vision about the educational goals of the academy. This certification requires participation at the Social Media Academy Guest Speaker Class.
